Il Teatro Comunale "Cecilia Gallerani" nasce nel 1923, da allora il teatro è sempre stata una presenza viva e vitale nella vita del paese, sino a quando non è iniziato un lento decadimento, fino ad arrivare all'inizio degli anni Ottanta in condizioni di quasi completo abbandono. Nel 1983 l'edificio fu inaugurato nella sua attuale conformazione e nel 2002 vine intitolato a Cecilia Gallerani.
