Interactive map of the Roman Cremona

At the Archaeological Museum it will be possible to live the ancient glorious past of Cremona.
Thanks to a new touch screen, everyone will have the opportunity to explore an interactive map of the Roman town.
The map will allow the visitors to identify the position of the main archaeological excavations which the displayed objects and tools come from: clicking on the symbols on the archaeological map you will see new icons containing texts and pictures concerning the single sites. Among the twenty-two sites on the map, six of them (those which can still be seen and visited) will be presented through some short video-clips.
A special attention will be dedicated to the disabled people: in every site it is available a simplified explanation text written in cooperation with ANFFAS Cremona. Moreover, a special section will allow to read the complete guide of the museum (project "Museo per tutti", promoted by L’abilità onlus and supported by Fondazione De Agostini).
The new tool, made by Spazio Geco di Pavia, thanks to the new opportunities offered by the technology, aims at enhancing the ancient Roman town thanks to the cooperation with the archaeologists of the Museum and of the Regional Cultural Board. Its use will be promoted through guided tours with the Oculus every third Sunday of the month (till the end of June).
