Palazzo Mina Bolzesi
The building was erected in 1828 by nobleman Gaetano Bolzesi; the austere building is a unique example of its kind in Cremona. Designed by architect Simone Cantoni of Milan, a refined interpreter of neoclassical architecture, it features an imperial style, is built in grey marble and bears an especially solemn and monumental mark: it is decorated with a series of Corinthian columns in its section with triangular over-window timpani, bas-reliefs and statues on the overlying penthouse. The internal courtyard presents a U-shaped ground pan and connects the architectural part of the building with the outlying romantic park, with its minaret in oriental style. On the first floor there is a series of reception halls that used to be decorated in the 19th century.
