A traditional receipt

The Museum of Folk culture "Il Cambonino Vecchio" proposes a traditional receipt which is cheap and good:

THE BREAD’S CAKE!
This cake is the ideal one when you have some stale bread, it is cheap and sweet. It used to be baked in the ancient wood stove, at low temperature. In the past it was combined with some fruit, amaretti and dark chocolate.

How to make it: cut 300 g of stale bread and put it in the warm milk, then let it there for more or less one hour.  Add 2 eggs, 120 g of sugar, 100 g of smashed amaretti, 20 g of unsweetened cocoa and 80 g of smashed dark chocolate. Mix all the ingredients and pour them in a baking pan. Bake it in the oven: 180° for more or less 40 minutes.
