New opening: the Diocesan Museum!
The New Diocesan Museum hosts some art-works coming from different points of the Diocese: pictures, crucifixes, sculptures, masterpieces which date back to different ages, authors and styles. Among the most important elements, a map painted on paper and canvas by Antonio Campi in the second half of the 16th Century.
At the entrance there is the famous “Apparizione a Caravaggio della Madonna di S. Maria del Fonte”, an artwork of the 18th century made in the workshop of Massarotti, a tribute to the patron of the Diocese.
Opening hours: from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Ticket: 5€.
It is possible to book some guided tours, also for groups (further information on the website www.museidiocesicremona.it).
