It is the largest park in the city center, with an area of about 21,000 square meters. The historical events that have influenced the current structure are closely linked to the evolution of the buildings that, even today, are located around or inside the Park: the Franciscan convent and the Ospedale Maggiore (old hospital). In 1973, the park was opened to the public.
In the park there are many tree species, shrubs and a remarkable variety of fauna. Today it is an ideal place for socializing, playing and teaching.
