Mantova Summer Festival is the most important event in the city's summer calendar, with a rich selection of live concerts to get the whole city singing and dancing. CREMONA and province

Giovedì d'estate - 4th - 25th July - Cremona
Now in its 25th year, Cremona’s Giovedì d’estate [Summer Thursdays] bring the city to life with a range of fun, lively activities. Craft markets, street food, kids’ games, and lots of music, make this an event that continues to offer locals and visitors alternative evenings that are all about fun and local traditions.

Luppolo in Rock - 19th - 21st July - Colonie Padane (CR)
There is nothing better than Luppolo in Rock to describe an explosive event, where rock and beer form a successful pairing. Three days of performances in the charming location of Parco Colonie Padane, ten minutes from Cremona, with international rock bands and the all-essential craft beers for an experience that brings together rock fans and beer enthusiasts.

MONZA AND BRIANZA

800 Lombardo exhibition - 13th April - 28th July - Monza
Lombardy art in the spotlight with the fascinating 800 LOMBARDO exhibition, rebellion and conformism, from Hayez to Previati. For four months, the city’s architectural jewel, the Reggia di Monza, is hosting works by the prestigious artists who have written the region's artistic and cultural evolution. An interesting dive into art and culture for lovers of the figurative arts.

Brianza Classica - 23rd June - 7th July - Provinces of Monza and Lecco
Amazing events for classical music lovers, with symphonies from the Brianza Classica season performed in some of the provinces of Monza and Lecco. The event is organised to bring young people closer to classical music in locations of particular historic and architectural beauty. Every musical performance is also combined with other performing arts, such as dance.

Recondita Armonia (Jazz and Roll) - 21st July - Monza
July marks the close of the Recondita Armonia musical season, dedicated to the centenary of the death of composer Giacomo Puccini. In the dazzling Mirror Room in the Reggia di Monza, the final event stands out for its particular concept, which brings Jazz and Rock music together in a surprising symphonic fusion.

Il Lodigiano e i suoi tesori - 4th April to 28th July - Lodi
Lodi celebrates its historic, artistic and cultural beauties with Il Lodigiano e i suoi tesori [Lodigiano and its treasures]. A collection of events under an umbrella title that speaks for itself, a tribute to the city and its hidden treasures. Guided tours, exhibitions, concerts and cultural initiatives to experience and rediscover city spaces creatively.

COMO and province

Curiosando uno spicchio di cielo - 5th July - (CO)
Every year, the municipality of Plesio dedicates an evening to discovering the universe, with the astronomical event Curiosando uno spicchio di cielo [Looking at a piece of sky]. From the parish sports field, accompanied by telescopes and expert astronomers, adults and children can look at the stars for a moment of fun and discovery, dedicated to science. 

Pink Party - 6th July - Menaggio (CO)
It’s all pink on the lakeside, with a delightful evening in the charming setting of Menaggio. There’s no better occasion to celebrate dawn in the summer than a walk on the lake shores, all decorated in pink and with plenty of entertainment. An elegant, fun opportunity to enjoy yourself in a themed outfit. 

Party on Monte Crocetta - 14th July - Monte Crocetta (CO)
The district of Croce, just in front of Menaggio, has one of the most stunning panoramas overlooking Lake Como. Here, every year, there is a characteristic, traditional event in July, organised by the Menaggio branch of the Italian National Alpini Association. A time of celebration, community and memory, and a celebration of local history. 

Festa di S. Amate - 28th July - Monte Bregagno
Staying on a mountain theme, Monte Bregagno offers breathtaking views all over the upper Lario area, and an exclusive, spiritual location for a celebration like the Festa di Sant’Amate. All participants can attend the morning mass on the mountain, followed by a picnic, as well as enjoy the surprising panoramic view with a helicopter tour.

VARESE

15th Festival "Tra Sacro e Sacro Monte" in Varese - From 4th to 25th July - Sacro Monte di Varese
After fifteen editions, the festival Tra Sacro e Sacro Monte continues to bring its music, theatre and the performing arts to the splendid setting of Sacro Monte di Varese, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A charming 17th-century route and a sanctuary where you can meet the sacred and the profane, with performances ranging from religious readings, to classical music and contemporary theatre.

Varese Summer Festival - 14th - 28th July - Varese
The enchanting Estense Gardens in Varese become the setting for nine evenings dedicated to music and theatre. July in the city means Varese Summer Festival, with singers, comedians and writers of international fame, who take the stage to being cultural events and entertainment to the public. The festival is being opened by Russell Crowe with his band, The Gentlemen Barbers.
